The key advantage of these coated glasses is the better energy efficiency of the device: the transmission is increased by several percentages and consequently the power output of a light installation is higher. Another example is the improvement of a solar energy collector by applying antireflection coatings. These glasses are also called highly transparent glasses.
As a second option anti-glare glasses with defined surface structures are used. The velvet-like glass surface creates a diffuse light reflection and the glass cover has an anti-glare property.
